Manifesting Abundance ✨ Sleep Meditation

In tonight’s Sleep Meditation with Karissa, we're going to teach ourselves an attitude of abundance. Financial stress keeps a lot of us up at night, whatever our position. It's easy to get caught up in the belief that our finances reflect our value. However, true wealth is found within and no matter how much you have, unless you feel that what you have is more than enough, you will not feel abundant. Therefore, abundance is an inside job. And, the more you manifest the things you want, the more ready you are for them to come your way. So let's do it.

[00:00:31] .

[00:00:48] Hi, I'm Karissa Vacker and welcome back to Sleep Ways.

[00:00:51] A podcast where we let waves of relaxation wash over you through original sleep meditations,

[00:00:57] created to help you fall asleep tonight. And don't worry if you don't hear the end of an episode.

[00:01:02] I encourage you to drift off whenever you're ready.

[00:01:05] Before we get started on tonight's episode, I'd like to say thanks again for all of the great ratings and reviews

[00:01:11] you guys have left us on Apple podcasts and some of the other networks too.

[00:01:15] Our shout out tonight is for Shy Creeper Girl from Australia, who wrote in to let us know that she used to struggle with Sleep due to ADHD and anxiety.

[00:01:24] But she now drifts off easily when she listens to Sleep Wave. We're so glad to hear that.

[00:01:31] Something I've really struggled with for much of my life was a scarcity mindset.

[00:01:36] It was sneaky, they felt it in many areas of my life and it would show up sometimes without me realizing it.

[00:01:43] I felt a lack of time, a lack of energy and a lack of money.

[00:01:48] It took me a while to realize that this was all happening for me though.

[00:01:52] I lived in Los Angeles at the height of these feelings and most of my friends also felt a lack of these things.

[00:01:58] We were busy, working a lot, not making a ton of money all the time, feeling a bit burnt out. But all of that felt normal.

[00:02:06] I remember wanting to get off the hamster wheel but having no idea how to do so.

[00:02:11] Hustle was so built into my identity that anything else felt lazy and highly anxiety inducing.

[00:02:18] The desire for abundance is something most of us have felt.

[00:02:22] If it's not more money we want, then it's more time or health or friends. The list goes on.

[00:02:29] I felt for years that if I could just work at my maximum capacity all the time,

[00:02:35] that I wouldn't have to feel scarcity around my finances.

[00:02:39] If I just never stopped producing, there was no way I'd run out of money, right?

[00:02:45] True is that was in some ways, it was less than beneficial in others.

[00:02:50] I did make money but only enough to keep myself on the edge of comfortable.

[00:02:55] I began to feel the effects of this constant action in other ways.

[00:02:59] The time that already felt limited felt more so, which meant my energy felt more and more depleted.

[00:03:05] But how was I supposed to let go and trust around something that felt so vital to my well-being?

[00:03:12] Ultimately, I had to surrender it.

[00:03:16] And the way I did that is perhaps slightly counterintuitive.

[00:03:19] I began saying thank you out loud to myself all day every day for all the money I had

[00:03:25] and how balanced my work was with the needs of my life.

[00:03:29] I felt gratitude for it before it arrived.

[00:03:32] In my meditations, I practiced feeling a deep sense of relief and well-being.

[00:03:37] I imagined what life would look like when I felt a flow around my financial abundance

[00:03:42] until it was nearly second-measure, until I could drop into that feeling even with my eyes open,

[00:03:48] going about my day, and not just in meditation.

[00:03:52] From there, I felt more open to gradually reducing my work hours

[00:03:56] and increasing myself care time to create the balanced feeling that I had been practicing.

[00:04:02] Our minds are much more powerful than we think.

[00:04:06] Tonight we are going to practice all those easeful feelings of abundance

[00:04:11] as we drift off into a deep and peaceful sleep

[00:04:15] so we can awaken tomorrow feeling rich in all the ways we desire.

[00:04:20] This is Manifesting Abundance by Billy Gill.

[00:04:35] Abundance is generally having more than enough,

[00:04:39] an abundance mindset goes beyond tangible assets and deals with emotional well-being,

[00:04:45] meaningful relationships, good health and personal growth.

[00:04:50] The feeling of abundance is quite distinct from the physical manifestations of wealth,

[00:04:56] whatever form they might take.

[00:04:58] Someone may have a lot of material possessions and resources

[00:05:02] and yet remain in a mindset of scarcity,

[00:05:05] coloring the felt experience of life with a tinge of insufficiency.

[00:05:10] Yet people with relatively few possessions may have the feeling that they are richly blessed.

[00:05:16] Tonight's sleep meditation envelops you with the attitude of abundance.

[00:05:21] True wealth is found within, and no matter how much you have,

[00:05:26] unless you feel that what you have is more than enough, you will not feel abundant.

[00:05:32] Therefore, abundance is an inside job.

[00:05:36] There are many philosophies and spiritual practices that embrace the concept of abundance as a mindset

[00:05:42] that involves recognizing and appreciating their richness present in one's life.

[00:05:47] Adopting an abundance mindset involves focusing on opportunities,

[00:05:52] gratitude and positive possibilities rather than dwelling on scarcity or lack.

[00:05:59] Make sure that you are resting comfortably in your bed.

[00:06:04] Close your eyes and take a deep cleansing inhale through your nostrils.

[00:06:12] Exhale through your mouth and feel any tension or worry flow out of you.

[00:06:20] Again, inhale through your nose.

[00:06:23] Notice a moment of stillness.

[00:06:27] Then exhale through your mouth.

[00:06:30] Notice the stillness at the bottom of the exhale.

[00:06:34] Once again, inhale through the nose.

[00:06:39] Pause.

[00:06:41] Exhale through your mouth.

[00:06:44] Pause.

[00:06:50] Continue breathing mindfully in and out of the nose, keeping the lips softly closed.

[00:07:01] Pay attention to the expression on your face.

[00:07:05] Can you invite a soft smile?

[00:07:09] Notice of that changes the quality of the breath.

[00:07:13] Notice if you feel a bit more established in your own being.

[00:07:20] Now, let's reflect on the idea that abundance is a mindset not solely tied to the quantity of material.

[00:07:30] Visualize two individuals in your mind's eye, one within abundance of material wealth and the other with relatively few possessions.

[00:07:48] See the person with abundant possessions surrounded by opulence and luxury.

[00:07:57] Despite the external wealth, notice a subtle air of discontent lingering within.

[00:08:06] Recognize that at times having a lot can lead to a fear of loss or a perpetual sense of not having enough.

[00:08:18] Now, shift your focus to the person with relatively few material possessions.

[00:08:28] Picture them surrounded by simplicity.

[00:08:32] Yet notice the genuine smiles, feelings of contentment and a profound sense of gratitude.

[00:08:42] Despite having less, this individual feels richly blessed by the abundance of joy, relationships and simple pleasures in their life.

[00:08:56] Embrace the notion that a mindset of abundance can lead to a fulfilling and contented life, irrespective of material possessions.

[00:09:08] Imagine a garden of abundance blooming within you with each thought of gratitude and contentment acting as a vibrant blossom.

[00:09:21] Visualize these blossoms spreading throughout your being, filling you with a sense of richness that transcends the material realm.

[00:09:37] I would say, once the world is filled with happiness, it will become more and more of a whole new world.

[00:09:47] Breathe in.

[00:10:05] Breathe out.

[00:10:12] Breathe in.

[00:10:17] Breathe out.

[00:10:21] Breathe in.

[00:10:26] Breathe out.

[00:10:29] Notice the belly rising and falling with each inhale and exhale.

[00:10:37] Breathe in.

[00:10:42] Breathe out.

[00:10:47] Breathe in.

[00:10:52] Breathe out.

[00:10:57] Breathe in.

[00:11:02] Breathe out.

[00:11:07] Breathe out.

[00:11:14] The plentiful, overflowing aspect of abundance can be cultivated from within.

[00:11:25] The energy we use to maintain the health of our bodies depends on metabolic processes that in turn require good nutrition, adequate sleep and a healthy lifestyle for their optimal function.

[00:11:46] The conversion of those processes into energy can be enhanced through exercises like conscious breathing and meditation.

[00:11:58] When we practice these exercises, we are working directly with the abundance of nature that manifests through our physical bodies.

[00:12:10] We draw on the abundance of the universe itself through the practice of pranayama.

[00:12:19] The etymology of the word prana is derived from the Sanskrit root, pra, which means to fill or to permeate.

[00:12:31] In the context of Hindu and yogic philosophy, prana is often translated as life force or vital energy.

[00:12:42] It encompasses the cosmic energy that permeates the universe and is responsible for the maintenance and animation of all living things.

[00:12:54] In the human body, prana is believed to be the vital force that sustains life and connects the body, mind and spirit.

[00:13:06] Pranayama is actually a compound word composed of the word prana and dhyama.

[00:13:15] Yama means restraint, so ayama literally means not restraint, implying that pranayama is the practice of liberating the flow of the life force that permeates the body so abundantly.

[00:13:31] As you prepare to practice pranayama, allow yourself to be calm and steady.

[00:13:42] Your facial muscles are relaxed.

[00:13:48] The forehead is smooth.

[00:13:53] The bridge of your nose spreads wide across your face.

[00:14:00] The eyes fall away from the eyelids.

[00:14:06] The breath is slow and even, begin by taking a comfortable inhale through both nostrils.

[00:14:18] Notice a brief pause and then exhale through the mouth.

[00:14:26] Again, inhale through both nostrils.

[00:14:33] Pause.

[00:14:36] Exhale through the mouth and register the natural pause at the bottom of the exhale.

[00:14:46] Once more, inhale through both nostrils.

[00:14:52] Pause.

[00:14:54] Exhale through the mouth.

[00:14:58] Pause.

[00:15:03] At any point, if you feel the need to return to this way of breathing, feel free to do so.

[00:15:13] In general, the prana of the right nostril and the prana of the left nostril fluctuate throughout the day.

[00:15:22] In this practice, we are paying attention to how the prana flows in each nostril but never becoming forceful with the breath.

[00:15:33] With practice, you will become very attuned to the sensations of the breath on the right and left side.

[00:15:44] The right and left nostrils are really stimulating the right and left side of the body.

[00:15:53] As you try to direct your awareness with each alternating breath, don't worry too much if you don't feel the breath switch from the right to left nostril.

[00:16:05] There's no need to use your hands to manipulate the nostrils either.

[00:16:11] Although there are some methods of practice that use the hands to manually shift the breath from side to side,

[00:16:18] for our purposes, simply shift from one nostril to the other using only your intention.

[00:16:28] Your intention is enough.

[00:16:36] We will now practice alternate nostril breathing.

[00:16:41] Begin when you are ready by inhaling through the left nostril and notice the pause at the top of your breath.

[00:16:52] Imagine that the energy of the breath has been gathered at the center of the brow.

[00:17:00] As you exhale, using your intention, release the breath slowly through your right nostril.

[00:17:10] Notice a brief pause as your exhale turns into an inhale through the right nostril, drawing the energy of the breath to the brow center.

[00:17:22] Exhale through the left nostril and feel the whole left side of the body relax.

[00:17:31] Inhale through both nostrils, pause.

[00:17:37] Exhale through both nostrils, pause.

[00:17:44] This completes one cycle of alternate nostril breathing.

[00:17:50] If you need to take a round or two of easy breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth,

[00:17:59] if yourself permission to breathe in this way or however the breath naturally wants to move,

[00:18:07] when you are ready for another cycle of alternate nostril breathing, inhale through the left nostril.

[00:18:17] Notice the pause at the center of the brow.

[00:18:22] Exhale through your right nostril, the whole right side of the body relaxes.

[00:18:32] Pause.

[00:18:36] Inhale again through the right nostril, gathering energy at the center of the brow, pause there.

[00:18:46] Exhale through the left nostril, the whole left side of the body relaxes.

[00:18:56] Pause.

[00:18:59] Inhale through both nostrils, exhale through both nostrils to complete the cycle.

[00:19:09] Come on practicing alternate nostril breathing.

[00:19:39] Inhale through the right nostril, the whole right side of the brow,

[00:19:55] exhale through both nostrils to complete the cycle.

[00:20:01] Pause.

[00:20:15] With practice, the art of pranayama enables you to cultivate an intimate connection with the abundant life giving energy that infuses the very air which surrounds you.

[00:20:31] On the inhale, the brain becomes a distribution center carrying out the logistics of sending intelligence to every region of the body.

[00:20:44] Each exhale feel the soul expand to fill the space that the intelligence has revealed.

[00:20:53] There is more than enough of what is vital.

[00:20:58] Life itself is an abundant giver.

[00:21:03] Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out.

[00:21:57] Breathe out.

[00:22:02] Breathe out.

[00:22:07] Breathe out.

[00:22:12] Imagine a garden of abundance blooming within you with each thought of gratitude and contentment acting as a vibrant blossom.

[00:22:36] Visualize these blossoms spreading throughout your being, filling you with a sense of more than enough.

[00:22:50] Each plant represents a different aspect of abundance whether it be love, health, wealth or opportunities.

[00:23:03] Take a moment to appreciate the beauty and variety that surrounds you knowing that this abundance is a reflection of the limitless possibilities available to you.

[00:23:18] Focus on the feeling that swells within you as you experience all the resources that are available to you at every moment.

[00:23:33] Now focus on your heart center.

[00:23:39] Imagine a glowing ball of light at the core of your being, radiating love and gratitude with each beat of your heart.

[00:23:55] This light expands sending ripples of positive energy throughout your entire being.

[00:24:02] Often feelings of scarcity are rooted in feelings of unworthiness.

[00:24:09] These may stem from stories that have dominated one's thoughts for years and decades.

[00:24:17] Begin to experience your own worthiness in this garden of abundance.

[00:24:25] See yourself as part of nature's dynamic balance and understand that there is more than enough to support your life and your dreams.

[00:24:39] Your dreams are also a part of your life and therefore a part of you.

[00:24:47] In this garden of abundance, honor your dreams and highest vision for your life as you continue to breathe the deeply.

[00:25:00] Allow the soothing energy of abundance to permeate your entire being.

[00:25:08] Release any thoughts of scarcity or love.

[00:25:16] Picture them as leaves carried away by the gentle breeze, leaving you free to embrace the abundance that awaits you.

[00:27:16] Now visualize a gentle stream flowing through the meadow.

[00:27:38] The stream represents the continuous flow of abundance in your life.

[00:27:44] Imagine yourself dipping your hands into the refreshing water, feeling the abundance of opportunities, love and prosperity flowing effortlessly towards you.

[00:28:08] The stream represents the continuous flow of abundance in your life.

[00:28:14] The stream represents the continuous flow of abundance in your life.

[00:28:22] The stream represents the continuous flow of abundance in your life.

[00:28:53] Feel the abundance of the garden and the flowing stream low you into a peaceful state of mind.

[00:29:12] Let go of any remaining tension and allow the abundance to carry you into a restful and rejuvenating sleep.

[00:29:26] Breathe in, breathe out.

[00:29:40] Breathe in, breathe out.

[00:30:10] Breathe out.

[00:30:40] Breathe out.

[00:31:10] Breathe out.

[00:31:40] Breathe out.

[00:32:10] Breathe out.

[00:32:20] Breathe out.

[00:32:30] Breathe out.

[00:32:40] Breathe out.

[00:32:50] Breathe out.

[00:33:20] Breathe out.

[00:33:50] Breathe out.

[00:34:14] Breathe out.

[00:34:44] Breathe out.

[00:34:54] Breathe out.

[00:35:04] Breathe out.

[00:38:54] Breathe out.
